Photo © Karen Fasenmyer taken in 1995 by her father Tom - of her then-4-year-old son James, and her dad's Rodesian Ridgeback, Lightning. After speaking with Karen on the phone, I was able to get some more details about this sweet picture. Lightning (who has since passed on) adored James, and was his constant companion whenever James stayed with his grandparents. It was at Christmastime when this picture was taken, and James' grandpa had told Lightning to "say his prayers" along with James. Even though he had never been taught to do so - the dog promptly complied - and the resulting photo was snapped. It wasn't until YEARS later that one of James' friends saw the picture and commented that it was all over the internet. Karen has spent a great deal of time contacting all the websites that have posted this photo and requesting they give it proper credit. So after 13 years of circulating the internet as the mystery boy and dog - we now know who they are!

Amazing Stamp Picture

Item #P9011 - $189.00 Man's Best Friend Dog Stamp Collage Amazing is the only word we could come up with for these. Everything about these is cultural, textural, rich - fascinating. Jack Klein is a graphic designer by trade, and a postage stamp collector too. His passions are apparent in these two framed pictures. He painstakingly selects the appropriate stamps from around the world (about 50 per picture), steams them free from their envelopes and then reapplies them to these artfully designed backgrounds - all perfectly straight and centered. Amazing. Then, as if that were not enough, he cuts the words & logos out of the linen textured mat and assembles the whole works up in a nice wood frame.
