Artist's notes: Like many of my draft horses this magnificent pair of Percherons were at the Albert City Threshermans Bee in Albert City, Iowa. You could tell by looking at them that they were enjoying what they were doing. They were alert and taking all of the sights but they were not at all frightened of any of the activity. This painting won Best of Show at the Lusk Wyoming Western and Wild Life Art Show. It is a thrill when someone else judges my work and loves it as much as much as I do. |
