101 Horseshoes
Here are some sample pictures that we have so far for our new shoe poster. I am doing my best to be correct and thorough in the descriptions. If you see any errors or have anything to add, please be sure to let me know. I want this to be as accurate as possible!

Note: Our goal is to have 101 horseshoes. (Poster title will be 101 Horseshoes) If you have already submitted pictures and they are not shown here, it does not mean that they will not be used. This is turning out to be a very big project that will require a lot of computer work to get the different pictures all onto one page. It is likely that the pictures that get posted online will be the ones that I need help identifying and/or describing.

Rolled Tin Shoe

This was found at an antique store. It's small, only 2 3/4" wide x 4" tall. On the back is stamped "J. WEINAL" Some of the older fellows in our state farrier association told us that during the depression when steel was in short supply, it was common to make shoes from whatever metal could be found. This little shoe appears to be made of roof tin. We are assuming that it is for decorative purposes only, since it is signed, but it is nicely creased and punched so it could be nailed to a very small foot!

Another antique store find. I think that there may be a piece missing in the toe area? It's large and heavy 10" wide x 12" heel-to-toe.

Bottom says:

Several shoes I need help identifying and describing:

This shoe board contains lots of unique shoes that we don't know much about. They're all signed by J. A. Mc.

Any help identifying these would be greatly appreciated.
