Above is the manufacturer's description. Below is HoofPrints' owner Gina Keesling's description:
If I could fit into this jacket, I would keep it for myself. It's marked size Small; I'm normally between Medium and Large - this fits me like a too-snug medium. Sigh... Anyway, this was an expensive, high-end jacket and it absolutely shows in the details. With the amount of features; fancy and varied inner lining details, pockets, zippers, embroidery, piping, thoughtfully placed elastic inserts - it was definitely costly to manufacture.
The body and hood are lightly lined with soft jersey knit (like a favorite t-shirt) with shiny mesh inserts and velvet ribbon accents. (Yes - VELVET) It's marketed as a three-season jacket, so it's apparently warmer than one would think at first blush, given how lightweight it is. I'm guessing that's where the expensive high-tech fabric comes in.
As someone who has done some fairly complicated sewing, I am very, VERY impressed with the construction. The seams are all perfect, the details are neatly and thoughtfully placed. The decorative embroidery is attractive and classy without looking "snooty"
The hood's removable, when you take it off what remains is so cleverly designed that the attachment zipper disappears. The patch pocket on the right sleeve is gusseted so it can expand a bit if you need to stash a lot in there - or lay neatly flat if you don't. All the fasteners are sturdy, and substantial enough that you can snap and unsnap without fumbling.
In checking availability on these, some of the big online retailers had them for well over $100 - but they're sold out. There's a used Medium at Aiken Tack Exchange for $99.99 that has since been sold.
