These are brand new with original packaging. One was tested by soaking in water per manufacturer's instructions and used on human leg (mine) to evaluate efficacy. It does indeed get quite cold and stay that way for 20 minutes at least. I let it dry completely before repackaging and it's indistinguishable from the unused one. Has never touched a horse so is still virtually new looking with zero hair or dirt.
No ice, no refrigeration — just hold them under a hose or dunk them in water and they cool down within minutes. Great for post-workout recovery or hot days, and the cooling effect lasts up to 20 minutes. A nice complement to traditional ice therapy when you want a quick, easy option.
