Gina's note: I got this in as a sample. I'm not sure it's up to the task for a professional farrier to use all day but definitely adequate for a horse owner to have on hand for emergencies when a loose or bent shoe needs to be removed. The sturdy design allows you to get under the shoe branch and use leverage to loosen nails, then grip with the jaws to remove each nail individually for the least amount of damage to the hoof.
