Dragonfly Hat Clip Bug Repellent? *ONLY 6 AVAILABLE*
I got these in with the intent to bundle them with our other fly related products. I'd seen it shared on social media that folks clip them to their horses bridle at the poll to repel deer flies in the woods. Dragonflies are fierce predators and allegedly bugs steer clear.
Seemed like a fun idea even if they didn't work. The problem is with these, while the clips are sturdy and grip quite well, the little grommet that fastens the wire to the clip is not nearly robust enough to withstand a horse shaking its head. Give it a good jiggle and the wire comes out. Obviously less than ideal on the trail.
If you're hiking, wearing a hat or backpack these would clip to it nicely and should stay together fine. Or someone more clever than me could figure out a better way to fasten the wire to the clip to try on a bridle?
