This was the telecommunications hub for HoofPrints for several years, until we disconnected all the land lines here on the farm and switched to exclusively cellular. It was working as expected when we stopped using it, and has been stored in climate-controlled conditions since then.
This system has all sorts of fancy features on it that I never took advantage of; transferring calls, intercom, storing numbers, call waiting, customizable hold music, etc. My fave feature was the fact that you could customize the ring tones for different lines so you could know which one was ringing without looking at the handset.

The batteries on these were starting to get weak when we took them out of service, so may need to be replaced. Also some of the buttons on the handsets are sticky. My son was able to correct this on occasion by disassembling and cleaning with denatured alcohol. There's an extra box of 3 batteries included, but I don't know if they are still good.
This was a state-of-the-art system when new = expensive. This exact system sold recently on ebay for $349.95! here
